Fall's must have bag.

As most of you already know, I have a huge obsession with bags and shoes more than clothing and I always lean towards structured bags that are more chic and appealing, rather  than slouchy bags. I am extremely fussy when it comes to picking out handbags and wallets, which makes my search for the perfect handbag quite impossible.
But then there's Mango, making things so much simpler for me.Most of my bags are purchased from Mango as they have everything from structured office bags to chic tiny totes and satchels. This mini structured tote with gold zipper detail inspired by Philip Lim, is my ultimate must have of the season. It's great for weekends and casual work days and better yet- it comes in 3 different colors. It's the perfect size and shape for any outfit and I love how the zippers on the side open to expand the bag when I have extra junk in it .

I highly recommend picking it up from stores before it flies of the shelves! Remember, great accessories are the finishing touches to a great outfit.

Heel Talk

I usually save my sky high heels for special occasions or events, as I personally feel that wearing really tall shoes during a normal day can make a person quite sluggish. Stepping out in a pair of six inches for a lunch date is ok if it’s going to last a couple of hours, but not longer.Yes, it can make you feel tall and confident but walking around them for more than 5 hours when yyou'vegot errands to run can make you look quite uncomfortable. I’ve seen this in the mall many times- women, some I even know or used to know- shopping in un- attractive platform pumps and wobbling around the stores, looking quite out of place and walking like a new born calf. When sometimes I want to buy them a decent pair of heels that were made for walking, other times I like to watch the calf wobble around trying to somehow make it through the crowded mall.
Investing in block heels, mid-heeled shoes are not only stylish and on trend, bur also very practical. I personally love blocked heel sandals at the moment for casual work days and pointed pumps in the office or structured pointed toe flats when I’m running around the mall. These not only make you look great, but also get you through the day with minimal foot cramps and strain.

On another note, I recently styled a set of looks for Devji for their latest campaign which I’m super excited to share. You’ll have to wait a few more weeks until I can publish there, but I promise they’re worth the wait!

Blueberry-Orange martini

I'd forgotten how much I loved this cobalt blue circle skirt - I had previously paired it with black to be more safe, but this is a fresher take on the color going tone on tone. And yes, My obsession with crop tops isn't over and I think it's going to stay for a long, long time.

Moving On, the bright orange clutch adds a nice pop of color and is a great accessory for the current season.I cannot wait to pair this with a hot pink or maybe a rich emerald green.Remember- when color blocking, try not to exceed 3 colors else you'll just end up looking like crayola threw up on you.2 colors are safe and 3 are fresh and daring, if combined with thought.

On a more personal note, as mentioned in my previous post, last month has been terrible for me and it isn't getting any better. I guess I'll just have to stick it out and sit until we cross the dark tunnel right? Sigh.
My foul mood continues and it's only a matter of time before I explode.

Black Out

Black is the one color that I turn to, on days where I'm just in no mood to wear bright hues. Yes, my style always reflects my mood and off late, I've been wearing too much black. While I do like to balance out the darkness of my outfit, I keep in mind to not add in loud pops of color, instead I work with prints or metallic hues. A nice necklace in a rich tone is all the color I need to my other wise plain outfit.Last month has been a roller coaster for me, a lot of downs and a few ups. It has been the most busiest and one of the most stressful months for me.I've learned a lot of lessons this last month and the 3 most important things I'd like to share with you all are:

1. Be careful of people that are EXTRA nice, OVER- friendly and a little too helpful, even when they needn't     be.*
2. Stepping out of your comfort zone is where all the magic happens.Never be afraid to take that chance.
3. Do your best and leave the rest to God.

That being said, this dreadful weather isn't helping either. I hate the sun and I hate summer. When will the clouds come out and create a nice layer, masking me from this ball of fire? Enough of my rants for today. Hopefully my foul mood will fade away in time for the next post.

*With a few exceptions of course.

A Planner for a Purse

Having a full time job and being a blogger is not a walk in the park. There are days and even weeks where my paid job requires 100 % of my time and attention and that's when my website freezes for a few days.
In such a situation, my planner comes to the rescue! Yes, smartphones are easier but they don't come in pretty colored leather. Moreover, hand written notes are so much more fun!

I plan, organize and schedule all my  meetings, events and notes into this gorgeous book and it makes my life so much more simpler! This planner was a gift from Purple Patchouli located in Aali mall at one of their fabulous events! Ever since, it has become my everything. For those of you who don't know, Purple Patchouli is a beautiful little salon and provide all kinds of beauty services, including the much talked about Oxygen and Hydra-facials!

Penning down on my planner...Appointment at Purple Patchouli this week!
